The China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair (CCBF)

China Shanghai International Children's Book Fair (CCBF) is guided by the Publicity Department of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (Shanghai Press and Publication Bureau), co-sponsored by Shanghai Xinhua Distribution Group Co., LTD., China Education Publishing Media Group Co., LTD., Global Press and Publication Development Co., LTD., and hosted by Shanghai Rongbo Exhibition Co., LTD. Since its inception in 2013, it has quickly established its increasingly important position in the international publishing market and is the leading professional exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region focusing on children's book publishing and children's content. After ten years of development, CCBF has closely focused on the theme of "Together with the world and the future", providing an excellent communication platform for the copyright trade, marketing and distribution of children's books and cross-border cooperation, and playing an important role in improving the quality of children's literature and promoting children's reading. Since 2018, CCBF has joined hands with Bologna International Children's Book Fair (BCBF), the world's largest international Children's Book Fair, to better serve the development strategy of "going out" and "bringing in" of China's publishing industry with industry-leading professional knowledge, rich exhibition experience and massive quality resources, and to promote excellent original content from China to the world. It will also bring the best international works to Chinese readers. CCBF includes publishers, copyright agents, authors, illustrators, translators, graphic designers, content developers, printers, publishers, bookstores and other sales channels, digital/multimedia companies, mobile app developers, animation/film/game producers, brand licensees and licensees, reading promoters and institutions, educational and training institutions, cultural institutions, and librarianship Managers, professional media, teachers and children's literature lovers gathered together to present a high-quality global children's book publishing culture industry chain event. The concurrent activities held by CCBF are also full of highlights, including official professional forums and conferences, Golden Wind Car International Young Illustrators Competition and illustration exhibition, Illustrator Avenue, "Children's Book +" theme book exhibition, and a series of Chinese and foreign children's book publishing and creation exchange and reading promotion activities. In 2024, the Shanghai Children's Book Fair attracted 497 exhibitors from 32 countries and regions, including China, the United Kingdom, France, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Belgium and Austria. Among them, there are 317 domestic exhibitors and 180 international exhibitors. The total number of visitors for the three days of the exhibition reached 41,263, including 17,081 professional visitors. The 12th China Shanghai International Children's Book Fair 2025 will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center on November 14-16, 2025.
